Shalina Getting Married: Rehearsal Dinner Edition

Thursday evening was Shalina’s wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner – it was so fun getting together with the entire bridal party again and meeting the whole family for the first time. The rehearsal itself was rather smooth – we had to make a couple last minute decisions - but for the most part things just rolled out. As the coordinator, the rehearsal is one of the most nerve-wrecking parts for me – I always feeling funny telling strangers where to go and what to do – but in the long run – I guess they appreciate that SOMEONE gave them instructions so on the actual wedding day they aren’t just floundering about. Dinner was at Ciao Pasta in San Juan Capistrano – literally walking distance from Franciscan Gardens (the wedding venue). The food was really good and the company was even better. I really enjoyed everyone in Shalina’s bridal party – which made the whole wedding experience super fun. Towards the close of the evening, SJ (she was still SJ then) gave me a gift – it is a beautiful fresh-water pearl bracelet with, “friends like you make life worth while” engraved on a charm hanging from it, as well as several ADORABLE flowers for my hair and a card with words that I will cherish forever. It was such an honor and joy helping her with this wedding and I really couldn’t be happier for her and Craig. What an amazing gift God has given me in their friendship!
