Champagne, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Old Bread and a Bus!

Sunday was another day of adventure with my dear Gan and Kenz too! We went to Gan's old church so she could visit her long lost friends, and then headed to Santa Monica for fish tacos and shopping! It was SUCH a fun afternoon. Gan and I were able to do a touch of damage in GAP (at ridiculously good prices) {and experienced some crazy junior high girl dancing in the check out line - it was questionable to say the least - and when her flip flop pounded the ground it made quite possibly the LOUDEST noise I have ever heard - it was all we could do to get out the door stiffling our laughter and bust UP outside)and we explored our forever favorite Anthropologie. Then we headed to Whole Foods to pack a personal picnic for the Hollywood Bowl extravaganza. We then hopped on the blue bus headed to the CONCERT OF A LIFETIME! Our timing was perfect and we got there just early enough to get seated comfortably, enjoy our dinner, and then have our eyes FOCUSED on the stage to be captivated by the lovely Zooey! The Bird and the Bee opened the show with some great tunes which we listened to while sipping on champagne and eating chocolate covered strawberries.Zooey was up next and she WOWED us with her musical SKILLS - of COURSE she can play every instrument known to mankind, of COURSE she can!The girl next to me was a bit too chatty kathy for me during Zooey's act so I had to intervene. I leaned over and let my hand hover in her personal space just long enough to get her attention. Then I muttered the words, "seriously, for just a few minutes, just a few minutes" in a tone stern enough to get the point across. She piped down! We sang along when asked and really could NOT have enjoyed ourselves more than we did while She and Him was on stage. FAVORITE! After Zooey the Swell Season performed and they were INCREDIBLE as well. A new found LOVE!
The kids behind us were ridiculously inebriated by that time, so laughing at them was almost as fun as being at the concert! OH it was such a GREAT night! Happy 24th Megan - it was a REALLY good one! We finished the evening off by stopped at a questionable Ralphs restroom and attacking each other with stale bread on sale for $.99 - that is a sign that it is SUPER old people. DON'T BUY IT!

It could not have been a more perfect night! If it's even possible, I love Zooey more now!
