For several years now I have been adamantly refusing to read the Twilight series. I’m not really into the whole vampire thing and I just couldn’t justify wasting the hours it would take to finish the entire series. However, while living with Shalina, I experienced her deep and undying love for the vampire vortex. She had all the books {although she is not OBSESSED with the movies, which I am SO GLAD about} and LOVED the Vampire Diaries television show. Each week the show brought her joy; so finally, I took a peek into the vampire world with her – and a vortex it most certainly is. I GOT SUCKED IN! SO…on Saturday I asked her to bring me the first Twilight book. I figured I would give it a chance and just see if it is really worth all the hype. WELL…I finished the first book…in 2 days…and she is bringing me the rest of the series tomorrow. BUT I must qualify the above statement…the Twilight series is SUPER easy to read…there is no difficult verbiage and you can literally skip paragraphs and still know exactly what is going on. That said, the Twilight series is also captivating and you desperately want to know when Bella is going to become a vampire…and HOW! SO there you have it. I’m reading the books. And although I am no where NEAR as in love as the rest of the world appears to be {and will even go so far as to say that Edward is NOT cute}I am excited about a fun series for the summer {even if the series will only take me one week to read}.Favorite Quote: "At home, only two years of P.E. were required. Here, P.E. was mandatory all four years. Forks was literally my personal hell on Earth."
