weekend FUN...

this weekend was FULL of fun and celebration as i found out on FRIDAY that i PASSED the COMP exams and am OFFICIALLY Shelly Swope, MBA! woot woot! Gan, Kenz, and I collectively planned a fabulous weekend full of laughter and friendship...it is one that i will likely REMEMBER for QUITE some time!! i am SO THANKFUL and so BLESSED by these girls! God is SO faithful!

Anyway, the weekend extravaganza started out at the IRVINE SPECTRUM for lunch at Red Robin (the world's BEST FRENCH FRIES with RANCH) followed by an entire afternoon of shopping...Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Sur La Table, the Nordstrom semi-annual sale (including a stop for beverages at the e-bar). At each location we proved that we could have fun with aboslutely ANYTHING. At Urban Outfitters we had fun with letters and nerd glasses, at Anthropologie there isn't ANYTHING THAT ISN'T FUN, at sur la table the napkins are TO DIE FOR and it doesn't get better than the Nordstrom SALE! GOOD TIMES!

Sunday we all went to church and then headed to Carlsbad for a day of outlet shopping (GAP outlet, Banana Republic Outlet, COACH outlet...) and fun at the beach. My parents are staying at Carlsbad for the week along with my brother and SIL and sweet Mad! My family has vacationed in Carlsbad EVERY summer since I was ONE! that is 23 years now folks! I can't join them for hte entire week anymore as I'm a full-fledged ADULT who has to work (and I'm using my vacation time to cruise the Caribbean in 18 days - but who is counting) but going to visit is almost as fun! we had taco salad for dinner with the BEST SALSA ever from the whole enchilada as well as pineapple and cherries with a fresh baked berry crisp for dessert. it was a seriously enjoyable meal and a fabulous day overall!

i am SO GLAD it is finally SUMMER!!! YES!!!!
