4 years ago TODAY...

my brother married the love of his life and one of the most wonderful women I have ever met. God is so INCREDIBLY gracious. My sister-in-law Jamie is one of my closest friends. I love her with all my heart and feel overwhelmingly blessed to get to share life with her. Kevin and I also have a really neat relationship - we truly enjoy spending time together and take every opportunity we have to hang out. Adult life as siblings is so different than I had expected. As kids, Kevin would harass me and pick on me until I cried and then take great glory in the fact that he had accomplished his mission. I on the other hand would take revenge and bite his bouncy balls in half or destroy his rubberband powered airplane (I replaced that a few Christmases ago...I think I was 21 and he was 24 at that point! ha!) We definitely have grown into our friendship! Now Kevin and I eat pizza or stop for chocolate peanut butter shakes at beef and bun...we watch TERRIBLE movies like Slither and 28 weeks later...we go shopping for Jamie on Christmas Eve EVERY YEAR...we eat rite aid ice cream in either chocolate malted crunch, chocolate fudge brownie, or mint and chip IN CONES (kevin likes the sugar cone and i like the cake cone - you know, the one that is made almost entirely of cardboard...) we run errands and really just enjoy life. it is SO MUCH MORE FUN having a brother now that I'm an adult - and let me tell you, a sister-in-law and a niece make it EVEN better!
