the great lipventure

In 2013 I explored the great unknown and started wearing lipstick. I had so much fun trying new colors and looked to experts (aka. beauty bloggers) like Kate at the small things blog and Estee at essie-button for the best brands and colors to wear. I am a drug-store lipstick girl for sure. I don't like to spend more than $10 especially considering you cannot KNOW if it will work with your skin-tone, hair color, wardrobe, etc.. Target is great with returns and will let you try and color and still bring it back. OH HOW I LOVE TARGET. Overall I'd say my lipventure was a great success and think I can pull off most colors. Like anything else, choosing confidence even when you don't feel it internally is key. I'm going to continue trying new shades and rocking the bold lip whenever appropriate in 2014 - so my lipventure continues on...wanna join me???

Most often reached for from my collection... anything Sonia Kashuk and Revlon (love a good lip butter and the just bitten kissable balm stains) so if you're gonna venture out, I say start there!
