THIS SWEET FRIEND is ON HER WAY TO CALIFORNIA RIGHT NOW!!!! ahhhhhhh! I haven't seen Em since the summer of 2008 - just a few days before I left to study abroad @ Oxford. It has been ENTIRELY too long but I am thrilled that in only a matter of hours I will be making a scene at LAX as I tackle her in baggage claim. (I guess Em wants a video of the whole thing, so I thought I would ham it up just a bit for her! I'm so sweet!) We have a PACKED couple of days ahead of us - she wants to "see as much as California as she can in 2.5 days as long as we still have time to shop and get pedicures!" SO that is the plan. She lands @ 1:55pm and we'll start with snacks and pedicures. Then Orange County is an OPEN BOOK....we just have to be home by 9pm to catch Grey's Anatomy AND Private Practice. Tomorrow we have a FULL DAY of FUN: the Getty Center, Diddy Reise, Santa Monica Pier, 3rd Street Promenade, Barney's Beanery, and Frosted. Saturday we're going to enjoy a personal and private tour of downtown LA and perhaps Beverly Hills. Since I grew up in San Diego I am not the best tour guide for this area - but I have enlisted help and I think Em and I are going to have a BLAST and a half! WOOT! 2 more hours in the office and then LET THE FUN BEGIN!!!

Emily is Coming to Town (sung to the tune of Santa Clause is Coming to Town)
