{This life is not at all what I expected and yet I long to live fully and with great joy as I make the very most of my one wild and crazy adventure. Regardless of what the circumstances may hold, I have NO DOUBT there is a great and mighty plan and I am eagerly anticipating all the King has in store for me}

Unwelcomed Guests...
Sunday evening as I was sitting on the loveseat (aka. futon) at my house (aka. condo) unsuspectingly trying to eat my dinner (of black bean taquitos, chips and guacamole), I was joined by an unwelcomed guest who quickly changed my plans for the evening and definitely altered my long-term feelings for the black bean taquitos from Trader Joes that had been a favorite of mine for so long. El Senior Dizzy settled in and made himself at home, and with every minute that he stayed, I became increasingly uncomfortable. He made the room spin out of control and shortly after his arrival I found it difficult to find my feet, or see the television, or make any sudden movements without being entirely overwhelmed by his presence. After about 30 minutes of his visit, my sweet roommate Shalina and her fiancĂ© Craig walked into the living room and became acutely aware that something wasn’t altogether right. After assessing the situation, the decision was made to monitor our houseguest and hope beyond all reasoning that he would decide to see himself out the door post haste. An additional hour or so passed and it became increasingly obvious that he wasn’t going anywhere, but rather he had invited a few additional friends – so now in addition to El Senior Dizzy, I was joined by Mr. Blurr, Captain Nauseas and Commander Pain. Captain Nauseas won several battles throughout the night and forced me to spend some intimate time bonding with the Porcelain Princess and Commander Pain made it clear that writhing and squirming are far superior to sleeping. Monday morning sweet Shalina came in to re-assess the situation and found me in a miserable heap with tears flowing freely and no desire to even try to pull it together. I know that she wanted to send my highly unwelcomed visitors on their way with a firm kick in the pants, but they refused to surrender to her leadership and remained in control. Monday evening I spent several hours with the D-O-C-T-O-R (that must be spelled out because it is a HORRENDOUS word that must not be used – it is VULGAR!) who determined that a blood vessel on the right side of my brain had ruptured causing the untimely arrival of El Senior Dizzy and the later onset of Mr. Blurr, Captain Nauseas, and Commander Pain. It is now Wednesday afternoon and apparently my guests have decided to camp out here for a while. My prayer is that I’ll wake up tomorrow to find that they’ve moved on – but alas, I have little indication that such will be the case. So I guess for tonight I’ll cuddle up with medication and ice-packs and pray the Lord gets me through another headache storm.
