Several years ago, my friend Jenny Redmond and I started meeting for dinner on Thursday nights. It started out as an every-other type of thing and then became weekly and then switched back to every-other and then included a brunch here and there or a Sunday afternoon extravaganza. Well it has been several weeks since our schedules have coincided and last night (on a MONDAY – so definitely out of the ordinary) we were FINALLY able to dine! IT WAS DIVINE (did you like that rhyme?? Ahhh!! Haha!)! We met at the Olive Garden and enjoyed the culinary delight which is chicken parmesan {favorite} along with salad and breadsticks. J is not really a sweets person, but last night we did dive into a tiramisu sundae {which was incredibly LEGIT} in celebration of my birthday.
I think it is safe to say that all birthday celebrations have now officially been had and the time has come to accept that 25 is just like every other year – monumental for a moment – and then mundane (I promise I’m not that melancholy – I just liked the alliteration!). It was a GREAT evening and I LOVE my gift (she got me the evelyn vase from Crate & Barrel – I have wanted that little guy for OH SO LONG!).
