3 Things I’m LOVING:
1. I got these Steve Madden peep toe SHOOTIES and I cannot even - they’re so cute and ridiculously comfortable and definitely fashion fab! They’re casual enough to wear with jeans but totally dress up and otherwise ordinary outfit. They’re bound to be my go-to shoe for spring! THE BEST! Seriously, just go get them.
2. I am a drugstore makeup fiend because 1. I go to Target all the time so swinging through the makeup aisle is easy for a lazy girl and 2. ain’t nobody got enough crazy cash to hit up Sephora on a regular basis! I almost NEVER get through an entire package of ANY makeup product with the exception of the standards like foundation / concealer / the blush I’ve been wearing since high school, etc., but I actually used up the ENTIRE tube (DIVERSION - why do we call them tubes when they’re sticks??) of this lipstick, so it is definitely blog worthy! If you’re looking for a good everyday option that is long-wearing and goes with virtually anything you’re wearing - I’m cheering for THIS: Maybelline Color Sensational PINK ME UP. You’ll have to go to amazon to get it because it isn’t available at Target anymore (sad day) but it’s worth it - especially with prime - just mooch it the login off your lifelong best friend and have it shipped to your house for free! And while we’re on the subject of products I’ve managed to use until the bitter end and buy again - this Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded also makes the cut! I use this like a primer before applying eye shadow and I’m a super fan. Try it - you might like it!
3. Love is undoubtedly my thing and my love language just so happens to be gifts. I also have also chosen to use Valentines Day as a way to celebrate the people that I love most regardless of marital status or romantic attachment. This year, I purchased these little heart necklaces from The Shine Project and gifted them to some of the ladies that mean the most to me and kept one to wear myself. I have LOVED seeing my closies wearing them throughout the past few months. I am wearing mine today and it honestly just makes me so happy. I love knowing my dear sweet friends have this tangible reminder that they’re loved and that we’re all in this thing together - muddling through the hardest days and embracing the celebrations. Life together is so much better and I love feeling like I’m wearing a reminder of those precious friendships.
What I’m reading:
EvFree just finished a series on Jonah and even though it’s a tiny little book, it was full of hope and encouragement for me as a seriously flawed and desperately needy human. Those four (4) little chapters that shout of God’s purpose for Jonah and unfailing love for the lost spoke encouragement and inspiration. Mike Howerton, the author of Glorious Mess, was one of the guest speakers in our Jonah series and this book has been a refreshing reminder to live vulnerably, exposed and honest in the mess of life allowing God to use imperfections to shine His glory and tell a story we would never be able to write.
