For Christmas this year I got a KitchenAid {in Empire Red, OF COURSE!}. She is absolutely beautiful and I LOVE her! I think maybe I should name her - something clever and catchy - and from this point forward refer to her as such. She really does deserve a name - she is SO MUCH MORE than just an appliance.Anyways, I welcomed her to my home by making a Barefoot Contessa Blueberry Crumble just before welcoming the NEW YEAR {in which my goal is to become as much like Ina Garten as is humanly possible (and financially possible I suppose - I can't really make Lobster Mac and Cheese while working at a church...)}. It was absolutely FABULOUS! I think that if I make it again (which I undoubtedly will) I will add the crumble halfway through - my crumble topping {commonly referred to as streussel} got a little too crunchy while the cake was still a bit doughy in the middle! She had a great FIRST run and I'm STOAKED for many more years of baking together!
