copycat {#1}

I’ve been listening to the Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey (do y’all listen to her podcast? I know I am SUPER behind on this one - I’ve been hearing about it for SO SO long) in the car for the past few days and LOVING it. Y’all it is amazing to me how many inspirational and incredible women are on this earth. God is doing HUGE things. 

{SIDEBAR: I just had this thought… I am not trying to discount these women OR their stories, but what if the truth is actually that EVERYONE has a beautiful and amazing story to tell and the rest of us just aren’t bold enough to tell them? What if I sat across from YOU at a table and we had a cup of coffee and you told me the truth about your life? Would there be some nugget in there that just blew me away? I have a feeling, the gives me goose bumps kind of feeling that God has written THAT kind of story for each of us and we just have to find the courage to shout His goodness and the things He has done even in the midst of the devastatingly hard and disappointing or ridiculously beautiful.} 

She asks each contributor 2 things: What are 3 things you’re loving that you want to tell your girlfriends about AND what are you reading? So I thought I should definitely be a copycat and add that as a regular blog post - I mean the 20 of you that read my blog (pause for honesty… the analytics say there are 20 readers but I know it’s actually just Jim and Aimee - cheers to you my faithful followers…and resume) definitely want to know about my current favorites and the books I’m reading right? #OBVI. 

3 things I’m loving: 

1. This is going to sound RIDICULOUS but Anna has the best hand soap at her house. It has nothing to do with how well it works and everything to do with the way it smells. I am totally ok admitting I am particular and this stuff is like stepping into a spa for a 30-second lather. I am LOVING the Eucalyptus Spearmint Hand Soap from Bath & Body Works. Place an order. 

2. I got a new watch for my birthday (from my dear sweet friend, oh my gosh I cannot even!) and to say I’m loving it would be an understatement. I’m obsessed. It is Kate Spade. It has a pale pink band. the face is a font lovers dream. It is so perfectly me and because it was a gift from someone I love to the depths it is even more special. GAAAAA. 

3. This is not new information, but for anyone who knows me, well, VENTI ICED COFFEE with 2 PUMPS WHITE MOCHA. Please and thank you. LOVING IT. (And yes, I love it most every day. And no, I will not consider that a problem.) 

What I’m reading…

If you haven’t read it, you should - JUST for the chapter on leggings as pants and tights as leggings (LAP / TAL) oh my gosh y’all I haven’t laughed that hard while reading in a long time. It will also make you long for friends that want to have dinner together on a regular basis (and can cook!) and make you seriously consider adding a front porch to your rental because some seriously idyllic life and dynamic ministry can happen there.
