this weekend my very FIRST friend from college, Lisa Paajanen Laird (aka Pajanamanaken), was in town visiting her sister and family. friday they all ventured out to disneyland and since the "happiest place on earth" is only minutes away from my house, i decided to crash their party...oh wait...no I didn't...i was TOTALLY invited! i met up with Lis and the fam in downtown disney where we waited (long time) to be seated at Tortilla Joes. we had a delicious dinner together - laughed about how her husband Mike REALLY likes spicey food - and the terrible service that disneyland provides its patrons probably due to the fact that the turnover rate is so high they really couldn't care less - marveled at legos - and really just enjoyed sharing an evening together. since she graduated and moved back to arizona, that just isn't something we get to do often. friday was the first time i've seen lis since her wedding in October of last year! ahhh. it was over a year between visits. LAME. but i can say with confidence we won't be waiting an entire year this time...baby laird is ON THE WAY...and i cannot wait to meet him!! congratulations Lisa and Mike. LOVEYOU and SO THANKFUL for your friendship - even if it resides in Arizona!
{This life is not at all what I expected and yet I long to live fully and with great joy as I make the very most of my one wild and crazy adventure. Regardless of what the circumstances may hold, I have NO DOUBT there is a great and mighty plan and I am eagerly anticipating all the King has in store for me}
