On July 1, 2005, Jamie Howell married my older brother Kevin and officially became my sister-in-law. It wasn’t an easy transition for me. There was a lot of baggage that had to be sorted through and a lot of hurt that had to be forgiven... And yet I can honestly say that today Jamie is one of my best friends and a tremendous blessing in my life. I enjoy her more than I can really explain. I love our deep and heartfelt conversations. I love how much we laugh. I love that we can do literally anything together and we’ll both genuinely enjoy it. I love that we love the same people and that our hearts work in many of the same ways. God is good. I have a younger sister named Julie – we are 5 years apart and have never really been close. It has always been sad to me that even though I have a sister it’s never really felt like it. Jamie feels like my sister…Jamie IS my sister and I LOVE HER!

my SISTER...
