from july 28...

Megan is the queen of adventures. She basically dreams up the ideas and I put them into motion. I’m the adventure accomplisher. I make the ideas realities. Together we are the perfect team! We are NEVER lacking in fun things to do! NEVER.Last night when we got off work (yes we still lead regular adult lives between the hours of 8 and 5, Monday through Friday) we headed to Hollywood in hopes of making 2 stops… Paulette’s Parisian Macaroons and Century City Theatres to see 500 Days of Summer which is only out in special release at the moment. We missed Paulette’s by a matter of minutes. It closes at 6:00pm and apparently that means 6:00pm SHARP. We got there about 6:10 and the stores was dark and locked. Sad day. We headed to Chipotle for dinner where we all ate entirely TOO much BUT not too much to stop us from eating MORE! Ha! We stopped at Cold Stone on the corner so I could get some ice-cream (to go) and then went to Urth Café where Megan was able to pick up her FAVORITE latte ever! After that it was back to the car and on the road for the theatre! We got there in plenty of time and 500 days of summer was a FABULOUS movie to say the least. It was a perfect combination of everything a movie can be – from cheesy to romantic to comical. It really was a FUN ONE to watch!!! We got just slightly lost attempting to get home – but thankfully we had k* with us in the car (my friend Kenzie is directionally oriented beyond the normal capacity of most humans – so we call her k* and find her a perfectly good [and reasonably priced] alternative to a GPS device) – although I must say she wasn’t overly helpful outside of orange county – perhaps Hollywood isn’t her place of expertise! We got home late – too late for a work night – but it was an adventure – and adventures are almost ALWAYS worth the lost sleep!!! Megan and I have lots of fabulous adventures coming up – San Diego Weekend, San Clemente Beach House weekend, and then Arizona weekend…stay tuned…the Adventures CONTINUE here.
