saturday during the day i hung out with mom and dad - ran errands - watched walker with dad (walker's hair = totally awful) nothing too exciting. BUT THAT NIGHT we (we being my brother, SIL, and a couple friends) went to SUPERCROSS.
When we were on our way to dinner, I sent Shalina a text saying I was thinking about her hubs (Craig used to race) because I was headed to Supercross and she responded, "SHUT UP! we're already here!" WHAT ARE THE CHANCES???? Shalina and Craig were at club level and we were at view level, so although she was able to find me (due in large part to the GIANT pink blanket which i am SO GLAD i brought because it POURED down rain on us and that blanket was our only protection) I never did find her. However, we texted throughout the race and it was actually quite fun. i LOVED that we were unexpectedly at the same place - especially considering it is like 2 hours from where we live! ha! Kevin is a HUGE milsaps (#18) fan - so obviously we were rooting for him - but also canard (#41) and wyndham (#14). Shalina was rooting for Vilapoto (#2) so it provided a WONDERFUL opportunity to bolster my sense of competition - my guy MILSAPS had to take VILAPOTO (who happened to win last week so it was HIGHLY probable that he would end in the top 3). Vilapoto finished FIRST in his qualifier, so it wasn't looking good for us - but in the main, he fell almost right away, putting him in DEAD LAST. at one point, canard was at the very FRONT of the pack but he fell (of his own accord - dang it) and ended up falling back to 4th. Milsaps overtook a few guys and ended the race in 5th (which was on the race tower - thank you very much!)
and Vilapoto ended in 7th (which was QUITE impressive considering he had to overtake literally EVERY MAN on the track!). it was a SUPER FUN NIGHT (even though we were DRENCHED and FREEZING) and i think we will laugh about it forever.

Greg and Bryan were there - and they are always hysterical. Greg was calling Bryan Jose and complaining that he can't work with mexicans - a RIOT. sunday evening I had dinner with Anna - we finalized plans for Jenny's shower and caught up on life in general.
monday morning came TOO soon and after a quick shopping trip with M and Kev, I was headed to escondido to have lunch with dad before officially saying goodbye and heading home. it was a wonderful weekend and suprisingly hard to leave. there is something about home that always entices me to stay. i suppose that is a really good thing...
