a richly blessed morning...

WOW! it is only 11:00 in the morning and already today has been so inspirational and encouraging. this morning i ran into the blog of an old friend, Autumn Talcott who is now Autumn Gossett, and was overjoyed to spend a bit of time reading about God's incredibly powerful movement and presence in her life. She and her husband Brian are vigorously seeking the kingdom and making a dynamic impact there through pursuing an international adoption. they are only weeks away (prayerfully) from bringing their son home from Etheopia. From what i read, it has been a long process of prayer, disappointment, overwhelming joy, and unparalleled excitement. it was such a precious blessing to see the pictures of the nursery painted in love and adorned with artifacts both from Africa - their son's birthplace - and here in the states revealing the rare and special nature of this new family. I am so thankful that i can now join them in prayer as they endure this long journey to bring home their little boy. wow.
i am in no way certain of what God is doing in my heart and life through all of this, but i am incredibly aware that He has put several people in my life that have made these kinds of drastic decisions and i respect them tremendously. i have a sweet friend whose parents have been heavily involved with the foster care system for years and she now has a three siblings that were adopted into her family and are now being tenderly loved and cared for. i also have a friend that works daily in a daycare center where she is feeling more and more pulled to adopt in hopes of caring for these children that appear to have no one and are being raised in such an unhealthy environment that will forever stunt their growth and ability to lead life by any definition of normalicy. i know and trust that the Lord will reveal His perfect plan and path for my life - but in the meantime I am inspired and moved to tears as I hear the stories of people in my life that are choosing to walk the road the Lord has chosen for them. Thank you for the example you all are in my life. I am truly blessed.

"But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day." -Habakkuk 2:3
